Why vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is essential for nerve function and red blood cell formation. The body absorbs only a small fraction of any oral dose via active transport, so a high dose (500 µg) ensures adequate absorption even in people with reduced intrinsic factor. SHENI uses methylcobalamin, the active form that does not require liver conversion.
