SHENI has no sales representatives. This page is the channel for physicians, pharmacists, nurses and dietitians instead: referenced dosing support, a documented interaction checker, and printable patient handouts in three languages — all drawn from the same published evidence base as the rest of this site, with every statement cited.

Vitamin D3 loading-dose estimator

Estimates the cumulative cholecalciferol dose needed to raise serum 25(OH)D from a measured baseline to a target, using the weight-based formula of van Groningen et al. (Eur J Endocrinol 2010;162:805–811): dose (IU) = 40 × (target − baseline, nmol/L) × body weight (kg). Decision support only — apply clinical judgement, check calcium/renal status, and respect the 4,000 IU/day UL for routine use.

Interaction & caution checker

Patient handouts (printable)

One-page product fact sheets in plain language. Open and print from the browser.

Unit converter

IU ↔ µg for vitamins D3, E and A; nmol/L ↔ ng/mL for 25(OH)D. Conversion factors: D3 1 µg = 40 IU; E 1 mg d-α-tocopherol = 1.49 IU; A 1 µg RE (retinol) = 3.33 IU; 25(OH)D 1 ng/mL = 2.496 nmol/L.

25(OH)D result interpreter

Classification used on the Science page (Holick/Endocrine Society and EFSA thresholds) [25][26]. Enter a laboratory value in either unit.

Oral B12 absorption estimator

Two-route model: intrinsic-factor–mediated uptake saturates at ≈1.5 µg per dose, plus ≈1% passive diffusion of the remainder [21][36]. Explains why 500–2,000 µg oral doses are injection-equivalent and why food-level doses fail in atrophic gastritis.

Daily requirement ≈ 2.4 µg (EFSA AI 4 µg). With intrinsic factor lost (pernicious anaemia, atrophic gastritis, gastrectomy) only the passive 1% route remains.

Preformed vitamin A — total intake check

Sums preformed retinol from the SHENI drop (800 µg RE) and other sources, against the adult UL of 3,000 µg RE/day and the pregnancy caution threshold (~10,000 IU ≈ 3,000 µg) [38][39]. Provitamin-A carotenoids from vegetables do not count toward the UL.

Who may register

Licensed physicians, pharmacists, nurses and midwives, dietitians and nutritionists, and other regulated healthcare professionals in any country. Each application is checked manually against the stated licence or registration number; the Public Health Institute of Georgia may contact your institution. Approval typically takes 1–3 working days.

Healthcare professional registration

Access to the practitioner tools is restricted to registered healthcare professionals. Applications are reviewed manually by the Public Health Institute of Georgia; you will receive an email when your account is approved.

What registration gives — and does not give

Access to the tools above and to future practitioner resources (CME material via GMJ Academy, early notice of Georgian prevalence data). It does not create any commercial relationship, does not involve samples or incentives, and your details are never shared with third parties or used for marketing.
